Re: Gåte (folk rock from Norway)
I've changed the original title of this thread, because after the success of their allegedly "one-off" reunion-concert, Gåte have announced that they'll play a few more concerts in 2010 at some Norwegian festivals.
So far, they have already been confirmed for Storåsfestivalen (as it says in
this article) and for Vinjerock (as it says
here).
Gåte have also recently published a book+DVD titled "I Dødens Dal", limited to 600 copies and only available in Norway.
The book (which I received today) contains lots of pictures from the reunion concert and some quotes, mostly by fans. The DVD is - unfortunately - rather short, about 5 minutes from rehearsal sessions before the concert and about 30 minutes from the concert itself, starting with "Grusomme skjebne", which is cut off somewhere in the middle. Then you get to see "Knut liten og Sylvelin", "Sjå attende", "Springleik" and "Margit Hjukse" in full-length, thus at least my two overall faves have been included.
